Over the weekend of June 5th there were several crimes in our neighborhood.\u00a0 One of our neighbors had a car stolen.\u00a0 It was later tracked down in Lansing.\u00a0 Also, another neighbor had items stolen from their car.\u00a0 On Sunday, Dave Halley noticed an unusual vehicle parked in the neighborhood.\u00a0 It was still parked there in the afternoon so they went to check it out.\u00a0 They could see stolen items inside.\u00a0 They started to call the police as a couple rode up on a motorcycle and made some small talk with them.\u00a0 The couple tried to circle around by the vehicle again but when they saw we were still standing there they made a hasty exit.\u00a0 Quite sure they are involved in this.\u00a0 The police say that sometimes thieves steal a vehicle but sometimes they just steal the keys and then circle back at some point and steal the vehicle.\u00a0 The vehicle was reported as stolen from Augusta.\u00a0 The property has been returned.\u00a0 The police warn everyone to be alert and keep everything locked up!\u00a0 If anyone has surveillance footage that would be helpful please contact the Sheriff.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
